Jesline says:

God intends for his ministry to be glorious-the ministry now to be more glorious than the previous one compared to the time before Jesus made a new covenant for man. In the old convenant, no man has direct access to God, it is always the priests who act as in bridge from man to God, performing the roles of offering sacrifices to God. In the new covenant, man has direct access to God through Jesus. If man now has direct access to God now, how much more glorious will this new ministry be compared to the previous one? I thought about the times when i am faithless in believing that God can transfrom me, transform the people around me, transform his church to be one that is more like Him.

prayer point:
- ask God to unveil my eyes to see the his work in my life and not see through human understanding
-ask God for faith to believe in his promises that will not fail, that his church will indeed grow from glory to glory
- to concentrate and study to my best ability to glorify God :)

Sharon says:

I find that the real power of living a good Christian life comes from God (through His Holy Spirit), not from our human efforts, and the most fulfilling Christian life is not to be found in humn praise, but true spiritual results! The glorification of God provided by the Holy Spirit should be something on the inside of every Christian, and manifesting God's glory on the outside. According to Paul, this "new glory surpasses the miracles of the Old Testament" meant that the faith, hope and love that flows from us through the Holy Spirit, is greater than any miracle that was once performed.

Ning says:

We should be a salt and light to other ppl around us and when we receive blessings from God and give Him our complete glory. When we do something for God, we shouldn't do it for the sake of getting somehting in return, but do it so that we can give glory to God. Go out there and make a difference to the people around us. It will bring glory to God. =)

Mich says:

It's like showing how things in the past will be faded no matter how glorious it were, and that we should look forward, things would be even more glorious than before we move on. This reminded me of a time when we, be it as an individual, CG, unit or church, would stay at the point where we felt the most glorious, but if we stay on, we would not be able to experience even more glorious moments that God has installed for us. So I wanna pray that, even in tough times, i would move on, let go and let God. Allow God to perform glorious moments in my life to glorify His name.

Li Yi says:

I'm very glad that we're not following laws now because it was Jesus who died on the cross and set us free. In the times of Moses, it seems like people follow laws blindly. So, post this question to ourselves: "Are we ppl who follow laws which are just an outward expression or do we want to be ppl of the Spirit who obey inwardly?" And glory should be coming from God as our lives are transformed. =)

Elaine says:

It's not about what humans can do with their own strength to glorify God but rather it's the right heart attitude that truly brings glory to God.

Li Yin says:

One thing God reminded me of is that the glory of the present house will be greater than that of the former house. God has great things in store for His people, this unit, this cg. More than that, God lis looking for people, committed disciples to walk with Him. Those who will say "God's will be done"and who have Kingdom mentality. The time has come for God's house to be rebulit, foundations tested and strengthened, people to be pruned. And thank God that we're now free from sin and laws and free to live our lives for Him. =)

Han says:

This passage reminds me to repent as i reflect on God's greatness and yet how He came and gave us a way.

In the case of Moses' time, the commandments (engraved in stone) showed how the standard and justice of God is everlasting, and never compromising. In that period of time, i believe that God is concerned about His people and thus revealed to them His righteousness. And as we know from God's character that He is holy and no evil can come from Him,
we know that these rules are not to harm but to humble the people.

And when Jesus came, the ministry of the Spirit glorified and magnified the love of God. The standard of God remains, recognise that we are still inadequate, BUT now because of the gift of God's grace, and the Spirit lives in us, we are able to be close with God. The Spirit is living and eternal, so we are no longer bounded by our sins.

Am reminded of a recent teaching of how sometimes we are afraid of the consequences of sins MORE than afraid of the sin itself. And how we are sometimes also aware of how people around in church sees us (ie. do we seem 'spiritual') MORE than being aware of how God sees our hearts. This passage affirmed that we should no longer dwell in these false pretenses. And to build a ministry that seeks after this glory of God.
