Give thanks to God for the troubles that I face! Fix my eyes on the eternal - make sense of why I do what I do. Keep obeying and desiring to hear from God. See eternal value in the things that I do and discard all the distractions that restrain me from working at my full potential!

We as christians must not lose heart in whatever is given for us to do. We must be renewed day by day. We must therefore see the achievement from the eternal point of view in order to receive the glory.

Focusing on the eternal... hmm seems like many times as we serve we wanna be able to see the physical outcomes and what lies ahead, probably a better sense of security for many...I've gradually learnt that what I can't see,the eternal, is the main thing of the main thing and thats what really kept Paul going.
Prayer Point:
Its not easy to fix my eyes on what is unseen but at least I know what is seen is temporal.Pray that as I walk I will give my very best and not be hindered by the physical things in my life.Really wanna overcome what he set for me to face so that I can soar with him.

Reflection: paul spoke because he had believed. the point here is he had faith. in v18 it says, fix our eyes not on what is seen but what is unseen for what is seen is temporal but what is unseen is eternal. faith even without fully understanding. though sometimes in life, things appear vague or blurrish or sometimes even impossible but we must have faith that God will bring us through. God has the best plan for us, for me and we should hold on to the promises.
prayer request: discipline in doing my qt in every season. refreshment as im tired from acting in new film about schoolwork.
Reflection: What I reflect from this passage is “Faith”. Especially in 2 Corinthian 4:18.

What caught me today was God asking me whether I believe in the Power that resurrect Jesus cos the power that resurrect Jesus was also the power that is present in the Holy Spirit that is living within me. This PnF really came at the right time cos during exam i will feel helpless a lot of times due to the overwhelming load of stuff to understand and memorise and seeing time keep ticking away and me getting tired as it goes does not help me to cool and steady. But today God really question me the do i believe in the Power that resurrect Jesus!
and today i could also identify with what is outwardly wasting away and yet inwardly we are being renewed. Was really depending on this verse as i fast and study today... Is definitely shiok to study with Jesus!!
Pray for me in the area of being submissive to the power of the Holy Spirit cos is only when we submit then God can work through!
Regards,

Hey guys,
Here's my reflection:
1) Reflection Point:
"Have faith!"
I think this is the message I got after after reading today's passage. We should focus on the unseen and not the things we are seeing as these are temporal. When we are too focus on the "seen", we tend to look at the limitations we have, the problems we are facing. In this way, where's God now? Is he even in your picture? Our problems are temporary. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. Do I even have faith that God will help me in the situation that I'm in?
2) Prayer Request:
Trust in God and rely more of His strength and not mine.

Reflection points: There has to be faith and believe in the things I speak about God and my salvation. It is certain that Jesus is the only way to eternal life not because it is written in the Bible, but more importantly, the Bible had stood the test. With so many prophesies already fulfilled and the historical evidence all pointing towards the existence of God, how can I not be convicted and believe? Moreover, it is not all about knowledge. It’s about the life that He has changed in me.
I need to take a step of faith for the things that are ahead of me. With the power and promise of God, how can I feel so helpless? Helplessness shouldn't be my emotion. I see the lack of trust in Him to deliver me although He has done it time after time.
Living life with or without God will have its own set of problems. However, the angle that we look at things and the importance of things is different. The differences in views are because of the lens of God. Many things may seem to be a must have and urgent such as excellent academic results, expansive wealth, perfectly toned legs, athletic build, smooth skin etc. All these are not even looked for in the KOG! What matters in the KOG are salvation and the spiritual well-being of people. I don't need to create new word (BOOMZ). I just need a solid heart filled with love for God. This love sounds simple. That is just the surface. Love compels. It is the driving force to the things I do in my life.

What kept Paul going was his faith in God. By His Word our spiritual being is renewed day by day, even as we grow older. As we live day by day, our faith is put to test by trials and temptations, thus we need to focus more on His Word.
Prayer Point: Not to fall into temptation. Eg. Sleeping monster.

What hope keeps Paul going (v14)?
The hope that God will raise us and present us in his presence.
How does Paul keep from losing heart (v16)?
He renews his spirit every day by walking close with God.
What important comparison does Paul make in v17?
That whatever difficulties we are facing now will earn us the eternal glory which is so much more important to us.
What important life instruction does Paul give in v18? How can you follow this instruction in practice?
About faith, faith is believing what is unseen. About trusting God, that He knows what I can bear and he is not here to harm me,
Give thanks to God for the troubles that I face! Fix my eyes on the eternal - make sense of why I do what I do. Keep obeying and desiring to hear from God. See eternal value in the things that I do and discard all the distractions that restrain me from working at my full potential!
