“Choosing God's Best”

-When is the right time? [Genesis 24]

1)The need to have wise, Godly counsel (24:2a)
-”Counsel that is proven, holds good responsibility (24:33a), (v12-21)
Please read the following:
[1 Corinthians 2:12-16], [Proverbs 15:22], [Proverbs 12:15], [Genesis 24:49]
-Counsels must be in agreement (v50-51)
-Doing that does not allow temptation to come in easily (v53)

2)They must be mature and compatible
[Genesis 24:3-4]
-Values level (Motivations behind why you live the way you do)
[Genesis 24:17-20]
-Actively living out God's values, being accountable to Godly counsel (v57-58)
-An immature person will be indecisive even after God has spoken [James 1:6-7]
-(v64-65) Shows Rebekahs act of submission and obedience.
-(v62-63a) Isaac goes out to spend time with God. [He's with the Lord]
-(66-67a) Isaac trusted the wise counsel's judgment. [Respecting Godly advice]

3)In God's divine purpose and plan
-(v3-7) Abraham displayed conviction and faith in God.
-(v8) Abraham shows realism, he is not hasty.
-(v67) Let us not move out of God's will and purpose
