And we start talking...

Pondering.....
Posted on Tuesday, January 20, 2009

hey hey! i'm currently in SIM all by myself in one quiet corner... the wind breeze, the cloudy daylight and the quietness is really shiok!

hmmm... has been pondering a lot ever since last week with Sub D meeting and Corporate Prayer meeting. A few questions keep appearing in my mind...

1) Am i repeating my life without engaging with the Holy Spirit and without expectation of what God can do in and with my life?

2) The church is made up of many different "body" parts but are we in ONE spirit?

These 2 questions resound in my heart and mind for a lot of times for the past few days. I really want to do my life with God, to be a victorious and powerful Christian, a Salt and Light that touches people's lives wherever i go. But the truth is that many a times, life demands and rushness caused my heart to be tired and fall into the trap of doing "Spiritual" things rountinely. Week in week out with servce, cg, shepherding, meeting pple can be such a drag certain time and serving can be quite tiring. But thank God for His grace and love that does not condemn. was really reminded by Romans 8: 39-39 "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" which really speaks deep abt God's love for Him and my motivation of serving should be out of a heart to love Him.

1 Thessalonians 1:2-4 "We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ."

I was also reminded that many a times many of us do serve God with a good heart but are we in ONE spirit together? This hit me a lot when Ps Jeff asked us to hold hands together to pray for the whole church. And it really strengthen my conviction that to have a strong and united church we need to have a strong and united Care Group!

1 Corinthians 12:11-12 "All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ."
